Job summary

Medline Industries, LP in Mundelein, IL is seeking a laboratory technician to lead and maintain day-to-day lab operations, ensuring testing turnaround times meet expected completion dates and that good laboratory practices are followed.

Responsibilities include conducting tests on raw materials, in-process and finished goods, reviewing data, prioritizing sample submissions, evaluating new technologies, updating SOPs, and training new staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of laboratory experience.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

• Recommend appropriate test methods based on product type and evaluation needs.
• Facilitate and process test requests and results with independent laboratories.
• Write, review, and/or update standard operating procedures.
• Train new employees per standard operating procedure and document training appropriately.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification / Licensure: None
• Work Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in a laboratory.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Basic skills with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific related field (Chemistry, Biology, Analytical, etc.)
• Certification / Licensure: None
• Work Experience: Experience in a regulated industry.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$28.75 - $41.75 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
