We're actively seeking a talented Sr Information Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Operations team in Newport Beach, CA. Relocation assistance will be provided.

As a Sr Information Security Engineer, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by planning, coordinating, and scheduling penetration tests for the enterprise. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their testing requirements and communicate findings to the appropriate remediation teams. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of nine people in the Enterprise Functions division, including analysts, engineers, and cybersecurity professionals.

Your day-to-day work will focus on penetration testing tools and service providers, defining testing requirements with stakeholders, tracking remediation, and providing technical guidance.

Our ideal candidate is a hungry mid-level security engineer with a strong interest in vulnerability management and penetration testing, who has planned and coordinated enterprise-scale penetration tests with successful results. This role offers opportunities to expand into other areas within vulnerability management services.

How you'll help move us forward:

• Plan, organize, and coordinate penetration tests across a global enterprise.
• Contribute to projects that increase vulnerability management maturity.
• Serve as technical lead for penetration tests and guide remediation teams.
• Maintain procedures, reports, and work instructions.
• Build trust and relationships with stakeholders.

The experience you bring:

• 5+ years in information security, including over 2 years of penetration testing experience.
• Client-focused mindset and professional interaction skills.
• Ability to clearly interpret and document test findings.
• Strong prioritization and execution skills with minimal oversight.
• Proven success in managing and executing projects.
• Knowledge of network mapping, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and web application testing.

What makes you stand out:

• Certifications such as OSCP/E, GWAPT, GPEN, or equivalent experience.
• Profiles on cybersecurity training platforms like HacktheBox or TryHackMe.
• Deep knowledge of assessment tools like Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, Powersploit, and Cobalt Strike.
