Central Transport LLC is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee inbound operations for a designated section of the terminal dock, managing up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock staff to meet production schedules.

Responsibilities include route reviews for efficiency, monitoring in-transit freight, and resolving driver issues on the road while maintaining KPI targets and a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry).
• Strong leadership qualities and ability to guide a team.
• Desire to surround customers with excellence in service; high aptitude for technology.

• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Provide / support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.

Operations Supervisor

Ideal Candidate Requirements

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to

• Oversee inbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock
• Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule. This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Review and revise driver routes to increase efficiencies while monitoring a changing workload
• Being aware of freight that is in transit
• Assist and report issues that drivers face when they’re on the road (i.e. flat tire)
• Ensure facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are met and/or exceeded
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
• Provide / support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers

Salary ranges from: $60,000 - $75,000 + up to 10% in bonuses
