Job summary

Westfall Technik is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to partner with three manufacturing sites: New Richmond, WI; Willernie, MN; and an Upper Peninsula, MI location. You will lead employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, leaves, and compliance while supporting site leadership.

You will travel about weekly between sites and contribute to the HR program with the VP of HR and a collaborative HR team across the company.

Qualifications

• 4+ years HR generalist experience, manufacturing or multi‑shift environment preferred
• Experience with employee relations and investigations
• Working knowledge of employment law; multi‑state experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go‑to HR resource for three locations and site General Managers
• Handle employee relations investigations and document findings with VP of HR
• Coach supervisors on discipline, performance conversations, and documentation
• Manage full‑cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles; onboarding and orientation
• Administer leaves (FMLA, ADA, state programs) and coordinate workers' comp
• Ensure compliance with federal/state employment laws and I‑9s
• Maintain accurate employee records in ADP and related systems
• Support compensation cycles, benefits open enrollment, handbook rollouts, and training
• Track turnover and retention trends and suggest improvements
• Build trust with employees across shifts to encourage reporting of concerns

Senior HR Generalist – Multi-Site

Pay Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually

The Role
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on HR professional to be the on-site HR partner for three of our manufacturing sites: New Richmond, WI; Willernie, MN; and our Upper Peninsula, Michigan location, with about 120 employees in total. You'll be the one on the floor, in the break room, and working with site leadership day to day, handling employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, leaves, and compliance. You'll report to the VP of Human Resources, who will partner with you on complex matters, and you'll be part of a collaborative HR team across the company.

Location & Travel
Your home base is our New Richmond, WI site. You'll also travel about once a week to our Willernie, MN site and potentially make a quarterly trip to our Upper Peninsula, Michigan location.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the go-to HR resource for site General Managers, supervisors, and employees across all three locations
• Handle employee relations issues. You'll conduct investigations, document findings, and recommend outcomes in partnership with the VP of HR
• Coach supervisors on progressive discipline, documentation, and performance conversations
• Manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles, including onboarding and new hire orientation
• Assist in the administration of leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, and state leave programs) and coordinate with workers' comp carriers
• Support compliance with federal and state employment laws across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan, including required postings and I-9s
• Maintain accurate employee records and data in ADP
• Support company-wide initiatives including compensation cycles, benefits open enrollment, handbook rollouts, and training programs and others
• Track turnover and retention trends and bring forward what you're seeing and ideas to improve it
• Build trust with employees on all shifts so people feel comfortable bringing concerns forward

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of HR generalist experience, ideally in manufacturing or another multi-shift, hourly environment
• Hands-on experience with employee relations and workplace investigations
• Working knowledge of employment law; multi-state experience is a plus
• Strong organization and the ability to juggle multiple sites without losing the details
• Good judgment. You'll know what you can handle and when to elevate
• Clear, approachable communication with frontline employees and leaders alike
• Experience with ADP (or a similar HRIS) preferred
• Ability to travel regularly between sites

The pay range above reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications.
