LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) seeks a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner to support both manufacturing and corporate offices in Lansing, MI.

You will lead HR strategies, partner with leadership, and act as a change agent to drive business performance and HR metrics. You will coach leaders on employee relations, conduct investigations, manage headcount gaps, and guide performance management. Infrastructure includes on-site presence, policy interpretation, and development of training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area required, or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree in human resources, Industrial / Labor Relations or Business Administration preferred.
  • HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or the SHRM equivalent) preferred.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Coach/counsel leadership on employee relations and performance related topics.
  • Conduct investigations and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Monitor team level headcount gaps & partner with assigned leadership and the HR team to determine solutions.
  • Facilitate and advise on performance management matters, to include, but not limited to: corrective actions, separations, investigations, hourly and salary evaluations and goal setting cadence.
  • Advise on the interpretation of company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Identify gaps in policies, practices and procedures and propose revisions to drive positive culture change at the team and corporate levels.
  • Analyze turnover and team-level trends. Partner with team leadership to identify and implement actions that drive improvements.
  • Guide team leadership in organizational structure decisions and changes.
  • Maintain a frequent presence on the production floor to learn the details of the business, establish a partnership with your assigned teams and get the voice of the employee (VOE).
  • Determine needs for Supervisor training. Facilitate and train on a rotation with other HRBPs.
  • Provide input on strategies/programs needed to improve overall team member experience.
  • Analyze HR and business trends in order to provide feedback on the efficient and effective delivery of HR products and services.
  • Partner with your assigned teams to support the implementation of new HR strategies, policies, plans, and procedures within assigned teams.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Serves as a mentor to more junior members of the HRBP team.
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary

As a Sr. Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing support and leadership to both a manufacturing and a corporate office environment.
