Position Summary

This role is ideal for an HR professional seeking to provide full-scope HR leadership in a fast-growing organization at our Hanover, MD headquarters and other sites nationwide. We seek an experienced, strategic leader who is proactive and collaborative, partnering with business leaders on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Vice President, senior leadership, and managers at all levels.
  • Partner with leaders to understand business goals and develop strategies to enhance team capabilities.
  • Coach leaders on effective communication, expectation setting, resource allocation, feedback, recognition, and accountability.
  • Guide managers and employees on engagement, performance management, career development, and retention.
  • Advocate for employees by identifying and implementing improvements in the employee experience.
  • Conduct investigations related to employee concerns or policy violations.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on various HR programs.
  • Develop strategies for positive employee relations and effective communication.
  • Lead succession planning, talent review, and compensation processes.
  • Support transformational change initiatives and communication efforts.
  • Partner with leadership and Talent Acquisition on staffing needs for both full-time and temporary roles.
  • Maintain visibility within the workforce to build trust and gather feedback.
  • Travel regularly to sites across the country to engage with employees and assess organizational needs.
  • Mentor and support other HR team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial/Labor Relations, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
  • At least 12 years of progressive HR experience, including support in production or field environments.
  • Proven ability to translate business objectives into HR strategies and measure success.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR principles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or HR, PHR/SPHR certification, and over 10 years of HR experience in large organizations.

Additional skills include leadership, coaching, excellent communication, and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

This position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote work with on-site presence as determined by the manager.
