City of Memphis is seeking a Grants Analyst to support fiscal and programmatic grant compliance under the Grants Manager. The role includes reviewing grants for regulatory adherence, assisting in site visits by grantors, and helping establish internal controls for monitoring awards.
The position requires the ability to read and apply federal regulations and to prepare reports tracking grants, budgets, and related activities.
Salary Range:$56,102.54 - $85,841.60
Works under the direction of the Grants Manager to review and analyze grants to ensure fiscal and programmatic compliance with federal, state and private grant policies, rules and regulations. Participates in onsite monitoring reviews with City divisions. Provides assistance to each division during formal site visits by grantor agencies. Assists in establishing and implements internal controls to monitor grant awards. Provides divisions with technical assistance for the fiscal reporting of grant awards and the grants close-out process. Assists in conducting quarterly grant compliance workshops on internal controls, grant reimbursements and grant close-outs as directed by management. Requires ability to read, interpret, and apply federal regulations. Works on coordinating activities pertaining to the compliance of grant funds, including serving as the senior-level analyst in searching and identifying availability of grants and funding sources for existing and proposed programs and projects. Prepares reports to track grants awarded, ongoing projects, and related budgets to ensure compliance with grant specifications. Keeps abreast of available grants and federal, state, and local legislation that may impact grant funding. Utilizes various computer software applications to create documents, spreadsheets, charts, graphs, databases, etc. in the grant compliance process. Participates in division(s) grant liaison meetings. Assists with developing grant-related materials and conducting training workshops.

Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Ability to operate general office equipment such as a computer, calculator, and telephone required.
Majority of work is performed in an office environment. Work involves interaction with grant liaisons, grantor agencies and staff members at all levels.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance, or a closely related field and five (5) years’ experience with three (3) of the five (5) years in a supervisory capacity management; or any combination of experience or training which enables one to perform the essential job functions. Working experience in accounting, budget or grant management strongly preferred. Experience with various computer software applications required.
