Job summary

Ampere Computing is seeking a Sr. Principal Front-End Design Automation Engineer to lead scalable automation efforts across RTL design, verification, EDA tooling, and IT.

You will partner with RTL and verification teams to drive productivity and reduce cycle time while shaping Ampere flows and internal tools. The role requires deep SystemVerilog expertise, strong Python/Perl scripting, and experience with HPC scheduling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Front-End Design Automation (EDA/DevOps) experience in the technology sector (semiconductor design preferred).
• Strong Python or Perl scripting skills.
• SystemVerilog expertise with DV/UVM/Coverage/Simulation/Debug and/or RTL static checks (Lint/CDC/RDC/UPF).
• Solid experience with IP and SoC RTL design and verification workflows.
• Proven experience with HPC scheduling/workload management (LSF/SLURM) for EDA workloads.
• Additional skills: Git/Perforce; CI/CD; Cloud Computing.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance for EDA tools and Ampere flows to improve productivity and reliability.
• Collaborate with RTL design and verification teams to deploy improved methods of work.
• Architect and administer custom Ampere automation and services to streamline RTL design and verification, reducing cycle time and overhead.
• Enable and support EDA tools used for RTL design and verification (SystemVerilog simulation, Lint, CDC, RDC, UPF, debug).
• Partner with IT, EDA vendors, and design teams to deliver high-performance solutions.
• Drive AI-enabled automation for design and verification to accelerate analysis and issue resolution.
