Job summary

A2e Technologies invites a Sr. FPGA Design Engineer to work on advanced FPGA/modem projects in Redmond. This contract role (long-term, possible permanent) requires hands-on design, validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Immediate start available as a long-term contractor with potential for perm.

The candidate will leverage Ultrascale+ and Versal platforms, strong HDL skills, and experience with high-speed SERDES and common interfaces to deliver robust FPGA-based solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years FPGA/Modem design experience including Ultrascale+ and Versal.
• Proficient in VHDL and SystemVerilog for complex designs.
• Experience designing and simulating high-speed SERDES interfaces.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Perl, Bash, TCL, etc.).
• Solid experience with Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FPGA/Modem solutions for high-speed applications.
• Develop and run simulations to verify functionality and timing.
• Collaborate on interface definitions and test methodologies.

• 10+Years experience:
• FPGA/Modem Design
• Ultrascale+ & Versal
• VHDL & SystemVerilog
• Design and Simulate
• High-speed Serdes
• Solid scripting (python, pearl, bash, tcl, …)

Solid Communication interfaces such as: Ethernet, Interlocken, PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART, etc

Nice to Have:

• Active Government Clearance
• Software Defined Radio/Modem Design background
• Some Petalinux Background
• Background in RF design
• Encryption experience
