Job summary

A2e Technologies in San Diego is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer for an onsite, long-term contract/perm role. Start ASAP with required active government clearance. Deep FPGA experience, VHDL, SystemVerilog, and cryptography exposure are essential; bring-up and external interfaces work is expected.

Experience with Microchip FPGAs is a plus; the ideal candidate will handle complex packet processing and secure cryptographic interfaces in a government-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years FPGA design experience with VHDL.
• Strong VHDL and SystemVerilog programming skills.
• Active government clearance required; cryptography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bring-up and validation of FPGA designs with external interfaces.
• Develop using VHDL and SystemVerilog for robust hardware.
• Collaborate on cryptography-related implementations and security features.
