Job summary

Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, is seeking a Facility Manager in Flint, MI to oversee warehouse operations and customer service while driving safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will manage supervisors, office staff, and hourly workers, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and contracts while leading cost-control and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of leadership in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, automotive, or supply chain.
• Experience managing supervisors, salaried and hourly staff.
• Proficiency with WMS and MS Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for warehouse operations, admin, and customer service activities.
• Direct supervisors, office staff, and hourly employees while promoting accountability.
• Ensure performance meets customer requirements and contractual terms.
• Monitor KPIs, labor use, productivity, quality, and inventory accuracy.
• Develop staffing plans and support recruiting, onboarding, training, and development.
• Manage employee relations, performance, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain compliance with policies, customer requirements, safety and environmental standards.
• Lead continuous improvement for efficiency, cost reduction, and satisfaction.
• Prepare operational and financial reports and productivity data.
• Collaborate with customer reps to address concerns and strengthen relations.
• Manage budgets, labor costs, and operational expenses.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound material flow to support production.
• Support startup activities and growth initiatives as needed.
• Ensure facility readiness, housekeeping, and equipment utilization meet expectations.

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and operational activities, ensuring customer requirements are met while maintaining high standards for safety, productivity, quality, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Providing overall leadership and direction for warehouse operations, administrative functions, and customer service activities
• Managing supervisors, office staff, and hourly employees while promoting a positive and accountable work environment
• Ensuring operational performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and contractual requirements
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), labor utilization, productivity, quality, and inventory accuracy
• Developing staffing plans and supporting recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives
• Managing employee relations, performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes
• Maintaining compliance with company policies, customer requirements, safety regulations, and environmental standards
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction
• Preparing and reviewing operational reports, financial performance metrics, labor reports, and productivity data
• Partnering closely with customer representatives to address concerns, identify opportunities, and strengthen business relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
• 5+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, automotive, or supply chain operations
• Previous experience managing supervisors, salaried employees, and hourly workforces
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, labor planning, and customer relations
• Experience working in automotive or manufacturing environments preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing business needs
