POSITION SUMMARY

This position has managerial oversight of multiple facilities, an entire campus, or a portfolio of client facilities and has at least one Facilities Manager and/or Assistant Facilities Manager reporting into it. The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for implementing policies, procedures, and programs to ensure well-managed, well-maintained buildings and facilities. The role emphasizes leading staff to respond positively to tenant concerns, environmental health and safety, and quality programs, aligning with client goals. The position serves as the primary liaison with the client and oversees services, activities, financials, vendors, and manpower for current and future needs. Additionally, the Senior Facilities Manager oversees the financial and KPI performance within their portfolio.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversee daily operations of facilities, ensuring effective service delivery including custodial, life-safety, engineering, and maintenance, in accordance with company policies and ownership directives.
  2. Manage service contracts cost-effectively, conduct performance and financial reviews, initiate audits, and ensure contractual compliance.
  3. Lead maintenance programs related to interior and exterior conditions and appearance of facilities.
  4. Ensure facility management staff respond promptly and positively to client and tenant requests.
  5. Regularly review contracts and assess client, tenant, and occupant needs to resolve issues efficiently.
  6. Prepare and present budgets, financial reports, and business plans.
  7. Assist in developing capital budgets and long-term maintenance and improvement plans.
  8. Analyze statistical data to evaluate management objectives, work order productivity, and cost savings, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  9. Oversee staffing, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee relations.
  10. Maintain customer focus and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  11. Drive operational innovation and industry best practices.
  12. Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and coordinate claims processing.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Corporate Real Estate, Project Management, or Business Administration required.

EXPERIENCE

  • 8-10 years of facility management experience, with at least 3 years at the Facility Manager level.
  • Experience in leasing, construction, engineering, and property operations.
  • Experience with HR and performance management processes.
  • Experience in critical system environments and CMMS/work order management preferred.

Cushman & Wakefield offers comprehensive benefits, including health, vision, dental insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
