JOB TITLE

Sr. Manager, Support Teams

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Purpose/ Summary: Lead and oversee the Support functions for NAQC to achieve organizational goals and KPIs. Responsible for all functions related to facilities, technicians, purchasing, and admin services. Review all relevant policies and procedures to ensure full compliance. Ensure the facility is maintained to a high standard and provides the tools and environment to empower the organization to achieve KPIs. Manage support staff to ensure they maintain applicable certifications and fully support all engineering work.

Hyundai Motor Group North American Quality Center (NAQC) is the quality arm for all North American models of Hyundai Motor Group. We are committed to becoming the leading automotive maker by delivering quality and customer satisfaction.

Position: Sr. Manager, Support Teams at our Irvine, CA facility. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of support professionals supporting NAQC.
  • Design, develop, and maintain standards, policies, and procedures for an efficient facility.
  • Manage supplier agreements, purchase requests, change orders, and invoices.
  • Review and approve purchasing, contracts, budgets, and billing services.
  • Support departmental budget management and monitor compliance.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement division plans and achieve KPIs.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to management.
  • Lead and mentor technicians and support staff.
  • Develop and maintain operational processes.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Oversee shop and administrative support operations.
  • Manage purchasing, budgeting, and facility maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and innovate solutions.
  • Review program performance and implement improvements.
  • Manage resource allocation and forecasting.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage personnel development and performance evaluations.
  • Handle vendor and contract management.
  • Be a problem-solver with attention to detail and drive for improvement.

Candidates should have:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a technical shop role.
  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with purchasing, contracts, and finance is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Automotive repair certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to create efficient solutions and document processes.
