Manager, Talent Acquisition at The Guitar Center Company

The Sr. Executive Assistant to the CEO, Chief Merchandising Officer, and VP, Strategic Initiatives will provide both administrative and strategic support to key members of Guitar Center’s executive leadership team. This position combines traditional executive support with a more strategic role focused on cross-functional coordination, executive communications, and strategic initiative planning & execution. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a proactive and critical-thinking mindset, and the ability to manage complex projects and communications with precision and discretion.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Executive Administrative Support: Serve as the primary administrative assistant for the CEO, Chief Merchandising Officer, and VP, Strategic Initiatives. Responsibilities include calendar management, meeting scheduling, email management, internal & external communications support, travel arrangements, and other logistics support.
  2. Executive Coordination: Serve as the executive liaison, ensuring effective communication and follow-through. Attend executive meetings, capture action items, and support leadership in overseeing their execution across departments. Support the preparation of meeting materials (e.g., quarterly Board Meetings, Townhall Presentations). Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate collaboration.
  3. Strategic Initiative Support: Assist in organizing strategic initiatives and projects, monitor progress, identify risks, and support scheduling bi-weekly OKR meetings to ensure milestones are met.
  4. Confidentiality and Trust: Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Build relationships across all levels to foster trust and collaboration.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Business, PR, Marketing, Advertising, or related fields.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • 3 years providing administrative support to senior leaders.
  • 2 years presenting to groups of managers, vendors, or the public.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proactive, with sound judgment and initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay Rate: $90,000 - $100,000/year, depending on experience.
