Job summary

Magna International in Kentucky seeks a Quality Engineer/Leader to ensure quality standards, support audits, and guide multiple complex projects in a metal-stamping and welding-focused operation.

The role requires a mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering background with CQE or Six Sigma certification, and strong leadership, communication and organizational skills. Experience with stamping and welding processes is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering preferred.
  • ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt highly preferred.
  • Significant experience in metal stamping (tandem, progressive, or transfer).
  • Deep knowledge of welding processes (Resistance Spot, MIG/MAG, or Laser).

Job Responsibilities:

What we are looking for:

Preferred qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership position including leading new launches and program teams
  • Minimum 7 years in a Quality Engineering position supporting new launches and program teams
  • Ability to work in a confidential and professional manner
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and have Strong organizational skills
  • Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Minitab
