Job summary

Magna leads a dynamic program management role focused on automotive stamping programs in the United States. You will head cross-functional teams across production, quality, engineering, purchasing and finance to deliver launches on time and within cost targets.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and at least five years of managerial experience in stamping. You’ll work onsite in South Carolina and drive process improvements, tooling, and supplier collaboration.

• 4-year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering
• Five+ years managerial experience in Automotive Stamping Industry
• Excellent knowledge of Project Management principles
• Strong stamping tooling development knowledge from planning to launching
• Familiar with quality methods such as APQP, FMEA
• Excellent customer relationships
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work in teams or independently

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional program teams to deliver product launches and production programs, ensuring timing, quality, cost, and business objectives
• Develop program plans, define team responsibilities, allocate resources, and track milestones
• Provide regular program status updates and maintain stakeholder communication
• Lead program review meetings
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks using structured PM and quality tools including FMEA
• Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, and suppliers to ensure flawless execution
• Manage program budgets, capital expenditures, tooling, equipment suppliers, and change management activities
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements and continuous improvement standards

Job Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS: Lead cross-functional program teams to successfully deliver product launches and production programs, ensuring achievement of timing, quality, cost, and business objectives. Develop program plans, define team responsibilities, allocate resources, and track progress against key milestones and performance targets. Manage customer expectations while providing regular program status updates, maintaining effective stakeholder communication, and leading program review meetings. Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks using structured project management and quality tools, including FMEA, lessons learned, and corrective action processes. Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, and suppliers to ensure flawless program execution from development through launch and series production. Manage program budgets, capital expenditures, tooling, equipment suppliers, and change management activities to achieve financial and operational objectives. Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, company policies, customer specifications, audit requirements, and continuous improvement standards, including 5S and operational excellence initiatives.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION:

• 4-year Bachelor's Degree or equivalency in an Engineering discipline

WORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:

• Five plus years prior managerial experience with the Automotive Stamping Industry.
• Excellent knowledge of principles, theories and practices of Project Management.
• Strong stamping tooling development knowledge from planning to launching.
• Strong skills in equipment planning and installation for assembly equipment.
• Knowledge regarding quality expectations, planning and implementation within new projects.
• Strong skills regarding Automotive product launches.
• Excellent product knowledge in Class-A and Class-C for the automotive industry.
• Familiar with all quality related methods and tools such as but not limited to APQP, FMEA, etc.
• Excellent customer relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong competency with working in teams or as individual unsupervised.
