Job summary

Danos, LLC is hiring a Sr Division Order Analyst in Houston, TX to manage the distribution of oil and gas proceeds and ownership records. You will determine ownership among the company, WI partners, NRIs, RI and ORRI holders through analysis of title documents and by maintaining current ownership files.

The role requires interpreting title opinions, deeds, leases, and probate records, ensuring accurate distributions and resolving ownership discrepancies in collaboration with Land, Revenue

Qualifications

• Division Order experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of WI, NRI, RI, ORRI and mineral ownership concepts.
• Experience interpreting title opinions, deeds, leases, and related documents.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Overview

The Sr Division Order Analyst will facilitate the distribution of proceeds from oil and gas sales and collection of well expenses in an assigned region by determining the relative ownership of the Company, working interest partners, overriding royalty holders and royalty holders through analyses of title documents and by maintaining and updating ownership records.

Responsibilities

• Analyze title documents, deeds, leases, assignments, probate records, and title opinions to determine ownership interests.
• Maintain and update ownership records for producing oil and gas properties.
• Process ownership changes resulting from acquisitions, divestitures, probate, conveyances, and other title-related transactions.
• Calculate and verify ownership interests for the company, working interest partners, overriding royalty owners, and royalty owners.
• Research and resolve ownership discrepancies and title issues affecting revenue distribution.
• Ensure accurate distribution of oil and gas proceeds and proper allocation of well expenses.
• Collaborate with Land, Revenue Accounting, Legal, and Operations teams to resolve ownership questions and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Provide support for audits, special projects, and ownership-related inquiries as needed

Qualifications

• Division Order experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas ownership concepts, including working interest (WI), net revenue interest (NRI), royalty interest (RI), overriding royalty interest (ORRI), and mineral ownership.
• Experience interpreting and analyzing title opinions, deeds, leases, assignments, probate documents, and other ownership-related legal documents.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Energy Management, Accounting, Finance, Petroleum Land Management, or a related field preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background check and drug test (hair follicle).
