Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Senior Database Developer.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be an integral part of the database team, supporting both production and development environments. You will develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions to ensure scalability, performance, and security. You will collaborate closely with application developers to design efficient data integration and ETL pipelines, and provide mentorship to junior staff. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement scalable, secure, and efficient database solutions supporting application needs.
• Create and optimize data models, schemas, and relationships to ensure data integrity.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support reporting and application processing.
• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries and configurations for improved efficiency.
• Implement and maintain security controls, encryption, and auditing to protect sensitive data.
• Partner with application developers to design and support data integration processes and ETL pipelines.
• Document database structures, processes, and performance tuning activities.
• Provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience developing Windows and web-based SQL applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server database development and management of multiple databases on large systems.
• Strong expertise in SQL query writing, stored procedures, triggers, and database performance tuning.
• Knowledge of .NET and legacy applications interacting with SQL Server.
• Experience implementing security measures such as access control, encryption, and auditing.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Entity Framework and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Knowledge of data warehousing and large-scale data integration practices.
• Industry experience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated sectors.
• Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server or related technologies.

Pay: $45.50 - $65.00/hr
