Overview

Senior Database/SQL Developer responsible for maintenance, support, enhancement, and development of new database solutions. The role requires deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, database architecture, performance tuning, T-SQL development, and cloud-based data solutions, preferably within Microsoft Azure. Primary tasks include working with multiple SSIS packages, stored procedures, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and SSRS reports.

Position

Title: Senior Database/SQL Developer
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 3+ months contract to hire
Compensation: $55.00 - 65.00/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, development, and maintenance of complex SQL databases, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Analyze existing database structures and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to implement robust data solutions.
• Optimize and troubleshoot queries, indexing strategies, and database bottlenecks.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Reverse engineer existing code to understand and develop requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers and system architects to optimize database usage and support application development.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in SQL Development.
• Expertise in SQL Server 2016 T-SQL, performance tuning, query optimization, and database design.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with source control systems like Git, Microsoft DevOps.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
