Job summary

Great West, an Old Republic Company, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build robust data infrastructure and drive strategic roadmaps in our IT Data Management team. You will design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help select cloud platforms while ensuring data privacy and governance.

The role requires willingness to travel quarterly to the home office in South Sioux City, NE, and offers a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of proven data engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, and distributed storage.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing to travel quarterly to home office in South Sioux City, NE.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 5yrs proven experience in data engineering and modern data architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, and distributed storage solutions
• Expertise in data modeling, performance optimization, and pipeline automation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
