Job summary

Great West Casualty Company is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to shape our data infrastructure and build robust data solutions. You’ll join the IT Data Management team to design roadmaps and drive efficiency across the organization.

You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement governance and privacy best practices. A hybrid work schedule is available, with travel to the South Sioux City home office quarterly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in data engineering and modern data architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, and distributed storage solutions.
• Expertise in data modeling, performance optimization, and pipeline automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing to travel quarterly to home office in South Sioux City, NE.
