Job summary

Alexander Technology Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing Data Engineering team responsible for building a cloud-native data platform. This full-time, direct-hire role offers the chance to design scalable data solutions that support analytics, operations, and business-critical decisions.

Senior Data Engineer (Direct Hire | Boston, MA | Hybrid 3 Days Onsite)

We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing Data Engineering team responsible for building a modern, cloud-native data platform. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity offering the chance to design scalable data solutions that support analytics, operations, and business-critical decision making.

This role follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite Tuesday-Thursday in Boston and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise data platforms
• Develop cloud-native data solutions using AWS, Snowflake, dbt, SnapLogic, and Python
• Build and optimize ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and operational data stores
• Automate data workflows, testing, and deployment processes
• Partner with business stakeholders, data analysts, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality data solutions

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Data Engineering or Software Engineering experience
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Expertise with Snowflake, dbt, and modern ELT development
• Experience building cloud-native applications in AWS
• Strong data modeling, data warehousing, and pipeline development experience
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Control-M
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
