Job description

Job Summary:

1. Assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
2. Prepares cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
3. Manages scope changes.
4. Defines scope requirements for a discipline or specialty, coordinating with Engineering and other sources to produce data conforming to the overall estimate plan.
5. Develops quantity takeoffs using defined documents or assumptions, verifying quantities provided by others.
6. Applies unit rates to quantity takeoffs and other developed quantities within a discipline or specialty.
7. Prepares budgets according to prescribed standards and procedures.
8. Coordinates and prepares cost reports.
9. Collects, classifies, and analyzes cost engineering data.
10. Performs data analysis and development.
11. Performs additional duties as directed by the Project Manager/Supervisor/Manager.

Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Requires knowledge of capital and services costs, scope change management, and intermediate understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.

Proficiency in discipline-specific software applications is essential.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills in cost management are required.

Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes is necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Cost engineering or project management certification is preferred; candidates should be eligible to attain certification within one year.

Ability to travel occasionally to Wiesbaden, Germany.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
