Job Summary:
  1. Assist in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
  2. Assist in preparing cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  3. Manage scope changes.
  4. Define scope requirements for disciplines or specialties and coordinate data production with Engineering and other sources.
  5. Develop quantity takeoffs for disciplines or specialties, verify quantities provided by others.
  6. Apply unit rates to quantity takeoffs and developed quantities within disciplines.
  7. Prepare specific budgets according to standards and procedures.
  8. Coordinate and prepare cost reports.
  9. Collect, classify, and analyze cost engineering data.
  10. Perform other duties as directed by the Project Manager/Supervisor/Manager.
  11. Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  12. Knowledge of capital and services costs.
  13. Knowledge of scope change management.
  14. Intermediate understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
  15. Proficiency in discipline-specific software applications.
  16. Ability to identify, analyze, and solve cost problems innovatively.
  17. Knowledge of financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and project controls including financial status reports and revenue data.
  18. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
  19. Proficiency in basic software applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  20. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  21. Cost engineering/project management certification preferred, or eligibility to attain within one year.
  22. Ability to travel occasionally to Wiesbaden, Germany.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
  1. Work primarily in a remote, office environment.
  2. Sitting and standing for prolonged periods.
  3. Walking and climbing on construction sites.
  4. Occasional travel to Wiesbaden, Germany.
