Job summary

Compal USA Technology in Central Texas is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to support our expanding manufacturing operations in Taylor and Georgetown. This role will manage standard costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, and month-end close activities, partnering with Finance and Operations to improve cost visibility and business performance across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting, strong ERP experience (SAP/S/4HANA),

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on manufacturing, cost accounting, or financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• ERP experience required; SAP or S/4HANA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage standard costing processes, including labor, overhead, material cost pools, and annual inventory revaluation.
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and partner with Operations to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, physical inventory, reserves, scrap tracking, and BOM/routing validation.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Assist with financial reporting, consolidations, and intercompany accounting across multiple entities.

This role will be responsible for standard costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, financial close activities, and reporting across multiple entities. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing cost-accounting experience and can partner effectively with Finance and Operations to improve cost visibility and business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage standard costing processes, including labor, overhead, material cost pools, and annual inventory revaluation

  What We’re Looking For:
