Join Merkle's growing content strategy team! As a Senior Content Strategist, you will report to the Senior Director, Content Strategy. You will be an individual contributor guide strategic understanding of client business leaders and teams by guiding the creation, distribution, and governance of audience-centric content for the best customer experiences. You will also help grow the content strategy capability by establishing tools, documenting best practices, and providing strategic points-of-view to improve the value of content strategy in service and product design.
Responsibilities
· You will implement content strategies that support client's goals, audience needs, and brand strategy, and collaborate with project teams to guide strategic understanding of content throughout the customer experience
· You will author content strategy frameworks and deliverables for service and product design projects including, content audits, matrices, content models, content journey maps, site maps, and migration maps
· You will partner with experience strategists and analysts to conduct in-depth research to understand audience needs, data insights, and competitive landscapes across industries to inform content goals and Indicators
· You will create content governance plans and content supply chain workflows to help clients operationalize and manage content for products and services
· You will develop taxonomy, tagging, and metadata strategies for composable content distribution across owned channels and technology platforms
· You will be an expert for Merkle's content strategy capability, and help grow the practice by creating repeatable frameworks for use across teams and clients
Summary of expectations
· Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in a strategic content role within an agency environment
· Bring content strategy while collaborating with project teams and client leaders
· Experience creating strategic content deliverables including content trends and best-practices, audits, content matrices, content models, journey maps, and taxonomies
· Experienced with content management systems and measurement platforms
· Turn data into insights to refine content strategies/optimization for long-term success
· You must be comfortable presenting points of view to executive leadership, client partners, and team leaders
· Willingness to be a proactive leader in content strategy and on project teams
The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $126,500 annually. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, and other factors permitted by law.
