Job summary

Lingo Professional in Virginia is seeking a Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician for Chesapeake or Richmond. This field-based role services a range of commercial facilities, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains HVAC systems, and works with BAS/controls when needed.

You’ll travel within Virginia, earn $40-$58/hour with a company truck, gas card, health/dental insurance, 401(k) with 4% match, PTO, paid holidays and ongoing training for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

Lingo Professional is recruiting experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technicians for a well-established, family-owned commercial HVAC and building systems organization serving customers throughout Virginia.

This is a field-based position for an experienced technician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and solving problems for customers. You'll service a diverse commercial customer base including schools, colleges, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, fire stations, courthouses and other large commercial facilities.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment and systems

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and service

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical HVAC issues

• Respond to customer service calls and determine the source of equipment problems

• Work with building automation and controls technicians when issues cross between mechanical equipment and control systems

• Communicate directly with facility managers and customers regarding equipment issues, repairs and recommendations

• Complete service documentation accurately and promptly

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years or more of commercial HVAC service experience

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Experience performing preventative maintenance and HVAC service

• Solid understanding of commercial HVAC equipment, mechanical systems and electrical components

• Ability to work independently in the field and know when to bring in additional technical resources

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Resourceful, dependable and self-motivated

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Ability to pass required background and drug screening

Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls or DDC systems is a plus, but this position is primarily focused on commercial HVAC service.

Schedule & Travel

This is a field-based position. Technicians travel directly to customer locations and are not required to report to the office every day.

Most travel is within Virginia and takes place during the workday. Depending on customer needs, occasional overnight travel is required. Approximately 75% of the time, technicians return home the same day.
