Akaasa Technologies is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer for a contractor role to design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

You will drive IaC, CI/CD, security, and governance while partnering with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in cloud engineering, hands‑on Azure and GCP experience, and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure management.
• Hands-on with Azure (App Services, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, Functions, Key Vault, Networking).
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, GKE, IAM).
• Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Strong networking, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, IAM knowledge.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cloud solutions in Azure and GCP.

Sr. Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure & Google Cloud Engineer (Contractor) to support cloud infrastructure, application modernization, data integration, and platform operations across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining cloud-native solutions while ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM/Bicep.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Configure and support cloud networking, security, identity management, and access controls.
• Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and costs.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Support cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure and GCP.
• Work closely with application development, data engineering, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and operational standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure management.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• o Microsoft Azure (App Services, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, Functions, Key Vault, Networking)
• o Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, GKE, IAM)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of networking, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, identity and access management.
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400).
• Google Cloud Certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Knowledge of data integration and analytics platforms.
