Our client is a large New York-based organization seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure & GCP to support enterprise cloud infrastructure, application modernization, data integration, and cloud migration initiatives.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60/hr - $90/hr
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure & GCP to design, implement, and support enterprise cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This individual will support cloud infrastructure, application modernization, migrations, automation, security, and platform operations.
Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure & GCP:
- Design, implement, and support cloud solutions across Azure and GCP.
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Configure and support cloud networking, security, identity management, and access controls.
- Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
- Support migrations from on-premises environments to Azure and GCP.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Partner with Application Development, Data Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Cloud Engineer – Azure & GCP:
- 7+ years of cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Azure experience with App Services, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, Functions, Key Vault, and Networking.
- GCP experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, GKE, and IAM.
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
- CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of networking, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, identity, and access management.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and enterprise cloud environments.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
