Job summary

GlobalPoint is seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise cloud infrastructure in a hybrid Denver setting. The role requires strong hands-on experience with GCP, Terraform, IaC, and CI/CD automation.

You will build scalable cloud solutions, manage networking, IAM, and security, and collaborate with security teams to ensure governance and high availability. This contract position includes on-call rotation and a focus on architectural excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 5+ years of experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services: Compute Engine, VPCs, Storage, IAM, Networking, Monitoring, and Availability.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployments.
• Configure and manage GCP networking, including VPCs, Shared VPCs, Compute Engine, Storage, and IAM.
• Develop and maintain cloud standards, governance, and best practices.
• Partner with security teams to implement secure cloud infrastructure and identity management.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud environments.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on‑call support schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification.
• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer Certification.
• Experience with enterprise cloud migration and automation projects.
