Job summary

Richmond National is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Claims Examiner to join our on-site Claims team in Glen Allen, VA.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 6 years of casualty claims handling experience, including reviewing and analyzing coverage, liability and damages, with strong letter writing skills. Responsibilities include interviewing claimants, witnesses, and other parties, coordinating outside vendors, and preparing detailed reports for upper management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6+ years of commercial casualty claims experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including letter writing.
• Strong knowledge of commercial liability insurance, coverage analysis, and claims handling procedures.
• Openness to learning and handling other lines of business.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation

At the time of posting, the expected base salary range for this role is $100,000-$120,000annually. Additionally, this position is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program. Actual compensation will be determined by many factors, including but not limited to, location, education, certifications, qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, business need, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
