Job Title: Sr. Actuary

Location: On-site in Glen Allen, VA office

Position Overview We are now seeking a Sr. Actuary to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the expansion of the company’s actuarial department. The Sr. Actuary will report directly to the Chief Actuarial Officer and contribute to a range of business decisions based on actuarial analysis and forecasting to maximize profit and growth. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of P&C actuarial experience with a focus on property lines, hold the FCAS designation, and have experience programming in Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, data science, statistics, or related subjects.
• 7+ years of relevant actuarial experience.
• Prior actuarial experience supporting property lines required.
• FCAS designation.
• Proven programming experience with Python, R, Java, or C (Python preferred).
• Property & casualty experience required. Excess & surplus lines experience is a plus.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation : At the time of posting, the expected base salary range for this role is $140,000-$160,000annually. Additionally, this position is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program. Actual compensation will be determined by many factors, including but not limited to, location, education, certifications, qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, business need, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
