Job summary

Farnsworth Group in Frisco, TX seeks a Sr. Civil Engineer to lead cost-effective, client-focused land development projects for private owners and municipalities. You will manage projects from concept to completion, collaborate with multiple disciplines, and help grow new client relationships.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, 15+ years of experience, and a PE license; PLS a plus. You’ll work in a hybrid environment with a strong emphasis on quality and professional development.

• 15+ years of civil engineering experience required.
• PE license is required; PLS a plus.
• Strong team player capable of handling multiple projects.
• Experience with land development and municipal transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage a variety of owner-driven civil engineering projects
• Organize and complete projects from inception to completion
• Support internal and external clients on Land Development projects
• Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and clients

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Sr. Civil Engineer in one of the posting locations below. In this role, you will be responsible for providing our private owners and municipal clients with cost effective, user friendly, and attractive developments as well as developing new client relationships.

What You'll Do

• Plan, design, and manage a variety of owner-driven civil engineering projects
• Organize and complete projects from inception to completion
• Support internal and external clients on Land Development related projects
• Collaborate with other Farnsworth Group disciplines and client consultants
• Balance internal and external project schedules and staffing
• Assist with business development efforts
• Assist the professional growth and development of Junior staff

What You'll Need

• BS in Civil Engineering
• 15+ years of civil engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License required, Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) a plus
• Strong team player that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
• Strong background in site design for both greenfield and redevelopment projects
• Strong background and working knowledge of IDOT Standard Specifications and requirements
• Extensive experience with municipal/development related transportation projects

Nice To Haves

• Sanitary sewer, water line and storm water management design experience a plus
• Ability to effectively manage clients and participate in business development activities
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
• Contract and negotiating skills
