Sr. Brand Strategist

Our client, an award-winning pharmaceutical advertising agency, is seeking a senior-level Brand Strategist to join their team. This opportunity is fully remote and contract-based.

In this position, you will lead and contribute to ongoing strategic client engagements and new business development. You will devise innovative approaches that bring brands to life, assess and plan for key market events, energize brand teams, and enhance customer engagement.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategy: Lead in key strategic initiatives such as brand positioning, customer insights, brand personality development, and creative brief writing. Develop innovative, bespoke solutions to address clients’ challenges.
  2. Research: Guide and manage insight generation, collaborate with research vendors, and co-create methodologies where appropriate.
  3. Creativity and Innovation: Oversee the creation and quality of creative briefs, inspire big thinking across various strategic opportunities, from launch planning to platform evolution.
  4. Teamwork: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (internal and external) to develop and present integrated marketing solutions.
  5. Presentation: Deliver formal and informal presentations confidently to communicate new ideas, secure new business, and educate clients and teams.
  6. Trend Watching: Stay ahead of current trends in integrated communication strategies across media, digital, and research, and apply these insights for clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a graduate degree in behavioral sciences, business marketing, life sciences, or advertising is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a strategic role within advertising, digital marketing, or consulting; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with a passion for collaboration and innovation.
  • Proven expertise in uncovering insights and leveraging them to meet marketing objectives.
  • Ability to translate client goals into actionable, measurable marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising mix (non-personal, sales materials, digital, and traditional).
