Job summary

Echo Global Logistics seeks a Senior Business Applications Administrator to lead the Microsoft 365 platform across Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for ~4,600 users. You will own design, configuration, on-call escalation, and platform projects, partnering with Product, Ops, Security, and GRC to maintain reliability and security.

Responsibilities include migrations, feature rollouts, governance, and integration work with Graph, PowerShell, and Copilot.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT engineering experience, incl. 5+ years Microsoft 365 admin in large org.
• Deep Exchange Online knowledge: mail flow, SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC.
• Advanced admin of Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive with external sharing.
• Experience with ITIL and ServiceNow on-call support; strong docs.
• Effective communicator who explains technical topics clearly.

• Lead Microsoft 365 projects: tenant migrations and feature rollouts.
• Track roadmap, assess changes, plan rollouts with Security/GRC inputs.
• Collaborate with Security and GRC to implement security/compliance controls.
• Support Copilot and Power Platform at platform level; manage licensing/readiness.
• Be the go-to Microsoft 365 expert for IT/business; mentor others; enable Service Desk.
• Handle changes, incidents, requests through ITIL processes in ServiceNow.

As a Senior Business Applications Administrator, you’ll be the senior engineer for Echo’s Microsoft 365 platform in our E5 environment: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, the tenant, and the integrations that connect Microsoft 365 to the rest of the business. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on keeping core collaboration services reliable, secure and well run for about 4,600 users. You’ll own design, configuration, Tier 3 escalation and platform projects, working alongside a product owner, operations engineers, and our Security and GRC teams. The role also spans Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform and automation, helping the business get more from the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the engineering and administration of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Viva Engage, including mail flow, connectors, external collaboration and sharing
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation for Microsoft 365 and take part in the 24x7 on-call rotation for Email and Teams
• Set and maintain configuration standards and documentation across the tenant
• Build and maintain integrations between Microsoft 365 and other tools: app registrations, least‑privilege Graph permissions, certificates and secrets
• Automate administration and reporting with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
• Lead Microsoft 365 projects, including tenant migrations and consolidations from acquisitions, and new feature rollouts
• Track the Microsoft roadmap and Message Center, assess the impact of changes, and plan rollouts
• Partner with Security and GRC to implement security and compliance controls in the platform with minimal user impact
• Support Microsoft 365 Copilot and Power Platform at the platform level: settings, licensing, readiness and escalations
• Serve as the go‑to Microsoft 365 expert for IT and the business, mentor operations engineers, and enable the Service Desk with clear documentation
• Work changes, incidents and requests through ITIL processes in ServiceNow

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of IT engineering experience, including 5+ years administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise of 1,000+ users
• Deep Exchange Online expertise, including mail flow, connectors, SMTP, SPF, DKIM and DMARC
• Advanced Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration, including external collaboration and sharing
• Microsoft Entra ID from a platform view: app registrations, Graph permissions, conditional access and hybrid identity
• Production PowerShell and Microsoft Graph scripting
• Experience with ITIL processes in ServiceNow and with on‑call support
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including explaining technical topics in plain language

Preferred:

• Microsoft 365 based certifications
• Tenant‑to‑tenant migration experience
• Defender for Office 365 and Microsoft Purview experience
• Copilot and Power Platform administration

Compensation

$112,498.00-163,571.00 per year

This role is eligible for a bonus that is based on a combination of personal and business performance.
