Job summary

Echo Global Logistics is seeking an Associate Software Support Engineer to support and maintain core applications within the End User Computing team. You will act as a primary contact for end users, resolve issues end-to-end, and collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure timely escalation and communication.

The role emphasizes strong Microsoft tech knowledge, basic SQL/APIs, and familiarity with C# / VB.Net.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1+ year of application support or relevant technical experience.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies.
• Solid object-oriented programming fundamentals; ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Basic experience with SQL and APIs (HTTP methods; Postman a plus).
• Familiarity with C# and/or VB.Net is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and team-oriented with ownership.

Job description

The Associate Software Support Engineer works independently and as part of the End User Computing team to support and maintain Echo and ITS core applications. This role serves as a point-of-contact for end users reporting various application issues. It is pertinent that this person demonstrates proficiency in all Echo and ITS business functions and applications. They must exhibit effective communication skills in all customer and team interactions and offer exceptional customer support. They are responsible for ensuring that all assigned problems and solutions are worked, escalated, and communicated in a timely manner.

Looking for candidates currently based in Reno, Nevada area.

What You’ll Do

• Basic experience with SQL and APIs (HTTP methods; tools like Postman a plus)
• Familiarity with C# and/or VB.Net is a plus
• Strong problem‑solving and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
• Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership

Nice to Have

• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace)
• Exposure to Agile environments or ITIL practices
