Senior Talent Acquisition Associate at Saint-Gobain

We are seeking an Automation/MES Engineer, based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, in a hybrid work environment. This exciting position will support digital transformation and sustainability in manufacturing for CertainTeed Roofing products in North America. The role requires strong technical and communication skills to manage local factory operational technology (OT), SCADA/MES systems, and automation manufacturing infrastructure. You will work closely with IT Digital in Manufacturing teams and factory personnel to develop standards, support projects, maintain systems, and provide level 1-2 support, ensuring quality, availability, and performance of OT, SCADA/MES, and automation systems.

Responsibilities include:
  1. PAC/PLC Control Systems
    • Develop and adopt automation and control standards.
    • Implement control standards for automation and controls obsolescence programs.
    • Create backup/recovery and change control programs for PAC/PLC, HMI, and related hardware.
    • Support factory automation and controls engineers in troubleshooting, programming, and interpreting electrical and network schematics.
  2. System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
    • Possess advanced knowledge of systems like Wonderware, Rockwell SE, Ignition, and Historians.
    • Support OPC servers, MS SQL Server, and troubleshoot messaging issues.
    • Maintain security updates and backup plans for SCADA/MES.
  3. Operational Technology [OT]
    • Troubleshoot network switches, routing, and messaging protocols.
    • Understand DMZ Firewall architecture.
    • Develop standards for factory system access control.
  4. Industrial Performance Improvement
    • Document MES&A platforms and support performance data analysis.
    • Implement automation improvements to enhance plant KPIs.
    • Participate in budgeting for capital and process improvements.
  5. Competency Building
    • Coach factory teams on automation and MES competencies.
    • Act as a liaison to ensure effective communication and track competency development plans.
Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years’ industrial MES and automation experience (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering Technology.
  • Experience with Wonderware, Rockwell, Ignition, PAC/PLC platforms, SAP, SQL, and industrial networks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, and teamwork, mentoring, and analytical skills.
Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range is $102,000 to $158,000 annually, with potential bonuses, totaling up to $115,200 to $178,500. Benefits include healthcare, parental leave, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, employee discounts, and wellness programs.
