What you’ll do
- Assureall R&D laboratory work is conducted in a safe manner includingunderstanding the Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), the use of proper PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use oflaboratory equipment, and 5S; ensures products and processes comply withall federal and state regulatory agencies
- Take on equipment ownership to operate application equipment safely andefficiently. Able to set up, operate and troubleshoot equipment ofmoderate complexity
- Withminimal supervision, accurately follow process procedures andrecord experimental details, collecting and organizing data in a coherentformat. Able to analyze and judge the quality of data
- Report laboratory results and methods according to Henkel lab book policies;results, reports and observations will be communicated tointernal/external customers in a timely manner
- Execute standardized test plans with minimal supervision
- Help develop new tests for materials performance as required and apply learningfrom one project to the next
- Familiarwith products and substrates associated with assigned technologyteam/market/region
- Preparegraphs or charts of data. Must have ability to identify and reportabnormalities in collected data and/or project work to supervisors
- Plandaily and weekly activities, multi-tasking as necessary to completeassigned tasks
- Train other technicians regarding equipmentoperating and/or test procedures
What makes you a good fit
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science or a science field.
- 3-5 years of working experience working in a chemical laboratory environment.
- Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical dataExcellent interpersonal skills.
- Abilityto work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments
- Ability to effectively present information in small group situations to other employees of the organization
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Suite and JMP software (preferred)
- Able to work onsite, 5 days a week, in our Rocky Hill location

Thesalary range for this role is $62,500.00 and $70,000.00. This range represents thegood‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offerfor this role at the time of posting.In addition to base salary, thisposition may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, asapplicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package asdescribed above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as thecandidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
