Job summary

Post Real Estate Group in Beverly Hills, CA, seeks a risk-management data analyst to strengthen safety, reduce claims, and optimize total cost of risk. You will import, clean, validate, and reconcile data from insurers and brokers, producing incident and performance reports to guide safety actions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in analytical, safety, or risk-control roles within insurance or related businesses, with strong MS Office skills and data presentation abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preference in related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in analytical, safety, or risk control with an insurance company, broker, or related business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Import, clean, validate, and reconcile data from insurers, TPAs, brokers, and other sources.
  • Create incident and claims performance reports identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes to improve safety initiatives.
  • Track progress toward resolving corrective actions and risk-improvement items identified during risk control surveys.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with insurance requirements, safety protocols, and risk policies.
  • Partner with Property Management to ensure compliance and improve performance of Tenant Damage Waiver and Security Deposit programs.
  • Collect and validate underwriting and exposure information for insurance renewals and placements.
  • Analyze total cost of risk (premiums, retained losses, admin costs) and report year-over-year changes.
  • Establish relationships with insurers and brokers.
  • Maintain schedules of insured assets and safety training records.

Job description

Established in 2007, Post Real Estate Group (“PREG”) is a vertically integrated real estate investment firm focused predominantly on the acquisition and ownership of apartment communities throughout the country. Post has acquired in excess of $3.5 Billion of properties encompassing more than 33,000 units across 15 states and over 50 cities.

Headquartered in Beverly Hills, CA, PREG also maintains operations in Dallas, TX.

Vertical operations include property management, construction services as well as ancillary business services divisions. PREG’s specialty is in the creation and execution of complex affordable housing transactions in partnership with governmental agencies and non-profit organizations.

In addition to multifamily, the company also owns a small portfolio of industrial buildings and mobile home parks.

Summary

Under general supervision, this position will play a critical role across all risk management functions by using data to identify opportunities to strengthen safety, improve claims performance, and optimize total cost of risk. This is a highly collaborative position requiring strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills to influence site teams and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Import, clean, validate, and reconcile data from insurers, TPAs, brokers, and other sources.
  • Create incident and claims performance reports identifying trends, anomalies, and root causes to better focus safety initiatives.
  • Track progress toward resolving corrective actions and risk-improvement items identified during risk control surveys.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with insurance requirements, safety protocols, and risk policies.
  • Partner with Property Management to ensure compliance and improve performance of in-house Tenant Damage Waiver and Security Deposit Alternative Programs
  • Collect and validate underwriting and exposure information for insurance renewals and new insurance placements
  • Analyze total cost of risk (premiums, retained losses, admin costs) and report year-over-year changes using changes in exposure data (payroll, TIV, etc.) to incorporate rates where available.
  • Establish effective working relationships with colleagues, insurers, and brokers.
  • Maintain schedules of insured assets (property values, vehicles, locations, employee/payroll data)
  • Maintain safety training records and support compliance with OSHA recordkeeping (Forms 300/300A/301)
  • Monitor policy expirations, audit deadlines, and renewal timelines
  • Perform benchmarking against industry, carrier, and peer data (e.g., BLS incident rates, NCCI/WCIRB data)
  • Additional projects &/or tasks as needed
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preference will be given to candidates with degrees in related fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in an analytical, safety, or risk control capacity with an Insurance Company, Insurance Broker, or other insurance related business
Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Capable of presenting findings and translating data to department leaders.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently while also working well in a group setting.
  • Required travel is limited and is not expected to exceed 5% of time.
Benefits
  • $85,000 - $100,000 plus year end discretionary bonus
  • Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D, 401K, paid time off, and holidays.
