Who We Are

Tomorrow's most advanced automotive technology is being envisioned today at MOBIS Parts America (MPA). A subsidiary of Hyundai MOBIS, we are a top leading automotive parts supplier. MPA provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. In addition to the distribution of genuine service parts, the MPA Accessories division develops accessories for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis - which are installed on new vehicles in the United States and Canada.

Description
Job Purpose

The Sr. Analyst, Accessory Supply is responsible for maintaining accurate accessory inventory and ensuring the appropriate supply of parts is available to support port-installed, dealer-installed, and service requirements throughout the vehicle lifecycle. The role analyzes demand, on-hand inventory, open purchase orders, usage trends, and vehicle production schedules to establish appropriate inventory levels, identify excess and obsolete exposure, and support timely corrective action. This position partners with OE customers, ports, PDCs, forecasting, procurement, and suppliers to balance service and production continuity with inventory investment. Key priorities include reducing excess and obsolete inventory, reconciling inventory variances, improving planning parameters and supplier performance, and developing vehicle build-out plans that prevent shortages while minimizing residual inventory. These responsibilities directly affect customer service, premium freight, warehousing expense, write-off exposure, sales, and company profitability.

Key Accountabilities
  • Analyze demand, inventory, open orders, pipeline, vehicle production, and installation requirements; maintain planning workbooks and system data to support accurate replenishment decisions. (30%)
  • Identify excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory; perform root-cause analysis and coordinate transfers, order adjustments, consumption plans, returns, or other approved disposition actions to reduce exposure. (20%)
  • Develop and maintain accessory supply plans for new-model launch, running production, and vehicle build-out; align final order quantities and delivery timing to protect installation requirements while minimizing end-of-program inventory. (20%)
  • Monitor inventory accuracy across ports and PDCs; investigate variances, coordinate reconciliations and claims, and drive corrective actions that improve transaction discipline and system-to-physical alignment. (15%)
  • Communicate inventory health, build-out readiness, shortage risks, excess and obsolete exposure, and recovery actions to MPA management, OEs, ports, PDCs, and suppliers. (10%)
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve SOPs, reporting, and cross-functional controls for forecasting, replenishment, inventory reconciliation, build-out planning, and excess inventory reduction. (5%)
Key Performance Indicators
  • Daily - Monitor inventory health and supply continuity
  • Update SAP and pipeline data; validate on-hand, in-transit, open-order, and demand information
  • Review shortages, backorders, low-stock risks, and inventory exceptions; prioritize actions based on vehicle build and customer impact
  • Coordinate expedites, transfers, or order adjustments only when required to maintain appropriate supply and avoid unnecessary premium freight or excess inventory
  • Review AMOS installation and consumption exceptions that may affect inventory accuracy or demand signals
  • Weekly - Optimize supply and reduce inventory exposure
  • Review PIO requirements, production changes, take rates, and vehicle build schedules; adjust supply plans as needed
  • Review excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory by part and location; document ownership, recovery actions, and target completion dates
  • Execute PDC-to-port and PDC-to-PDC balancing transfers based on validated demand, target inventory, and build requirements
  • Review supplier open orders, past-due quantities, minimum order constraints, and cancellation opportunities; align commitments to current requirements
  • Track shortage, overage, and inventory adjustment claims through resolution and incorporate root-cause actions into standard work
  • Monthly - Reconcile inventory and manage lifecycle risk
  • Issue and review port inventory reconciliations; investigate variances and confirm timely system corrections
  • Measure inventory accuracy, days of supply, excess and obsolete value, shortage frequency, premium freight, and build-out readiness against targets
  • Coordinate resolution of port and PDC shortages, overages, damages, and unresolved claims; elevate aging items
  • Maintain a recovery and disposition plan for excess and obsolete inventory, including transfer, consumption, supplier return, rework, sale, or approved write-off pathways
  • Update the rolling forecast and supplier order plan using current demand, inventory, lead times, order multiples, and production schedules
  • Separate and validate PIO, dealer, service, and build-out demand so purchasing and allocation decisions reflect the correct requirement
  • Annually and at each model build-out - Validate physical inventory and close lifecycle exposure
  • Lead or support port inventory audits and vehicle build-out reviews; reconcile balances, confirm final requirements, adjust or cancel orders, and execute disposition plans for remaining inventory
Major Challenges and Key Decisions

Balances competing risks by maintaining sufficient supply for vehicle production, port installation, and dealer requirements while minimizing excess inventory, obsolescence, premium freight, and write-off exposure. Decisions require accurate data analysis, cross-functional alignment, timely escalation, and sound judgment when demand, production schedules, lead times, or supplier performance change.
