Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Accounting Transformation Lead to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This role will drive major accounting transformation efforts that improve how core finance processes are designed, executed, and governed. The person in this position will partner closely with accounting, finance, and technology stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into measurable operating changes. A key focus will be standardizing processes, strengthening controls, and using automation and analytics to support scalable, compliant reporting.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $150,000 – $206,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Assess current accounting capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable project plans with measurable objectives.
• Simplify and standardize core accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
• Develop clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the team.
• Leverage automation and analytics to improve decision-making and controls.
• Manage critical accounting readiness activities for SEC-compliant reporting.
• Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of new processes and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, and finance transformation.
• Experience leading large-scale Finance or Accounting transformation initiatives across multiple functions and geographies.
• Proven track record in redesigning and standardizing accounting processes and operating models.
• Strong understanding of finance technology ecosystems, including ERP and automation solutions.
• Experience in public accounting or large multinational organizations is a plus.
