ZT Systems is seeking a Fixed Assets Accountant to manage the global asset base and the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects, from approval to depreciation and retirements. As the SAP subledger expert, you will ensure capitalization is accurate under US GAAP and supported by strong internal controls.

You will work closely with Tax, Treasury, Operations, FP&A, and External Reporting, lead monthly close activities, and drive process improvements while handling multiple projects in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly close activities including depreciation and rollforwards.
• Support quarterly/annual financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Maintain SOX-compliant controls around fixed assets.

About The Role

The Fixed Assets Accountant is responsible for the financial management of the company’s global asset base. This role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects and fixed assets—from initial project approval and capitalization to depreciation, disposals, and retirements. As the SAP subledger subject matter expert, you will ensure that all capital expenditures are recorded accurately, in compliance with U.S. GAAP, and supported by a robust internal control environment.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects and fixed asset management—from project initiation and capitalization through depreciation, disposals, retirements and payments.
• Conduct variance analysis of actual results versus budget and forecast.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 360 – Property, Plant & Equipment) and company accounting policies.
• Be a detail‑oriented self‑starter to manage, organize, and prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines and delivering on time for the Finance team.
• Act as the subject matter expert on the utilization of the SAP fixed asset system/subledger.
• Prepare and review monthly close activities including depreciation, impairment analysis, reconciliations, and rollforwards.
• Support preparation of quarterly/annual financial statements, including footnote disclosures.
• Maintain strong SOX‑compliant controls around fixed asset processes, including reconciliations, approvals, and system security.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Tax, Treasury, Operations, FP&A, and External Reporting to ensure accurate treatment of capital expenditures.
• Participate in other miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years in public accounting, large organization, or publicly traded company.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience applying GAAP.
• Significant experience with PP&E and CapEx investments.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to drive process improvements, work independently, and think objectively.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non‑financial partners.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, changing environment, with expectation of increasing responsibility and scope over time as proficiency develops.

Compensation and Benefits

ZT Systems offers a competitive base salary ranging from $87,375 to $128,150 per year. Base salary is one component of our total rewards philosophy; additional rewards may include bonus, paid time off, generous 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, wellbeing resources, and more.
