Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant for a hands-on construction accounting role in Redlands, CA. The position features a full-time, on-site schedule with a base salary of $80k–$100k plus employer-paid health benefits for employees and families.

You will own GL accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting while collaborating with leadership to ensure GAAP-compliant results and accurate audits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional accounting experience
• At least 1 yr of Construction accounting experience
• Strong GL accounting with working knowledge of GAAP, month-end closing, journal entries, fixed assets and reconciliations
• Financial statement preparation and external audit support experience
• ERP/accounting systems experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Support general ledger accounting and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP
• Manage fixed asset accounting, prepaids, and other balance sheet accounts
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting activities
• Support external audits and maintain accurate accounting documentation
• Review existing close processes and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement
• Partner closely with the Controller and Accounting Manager while independently managing assigned accounting responsibilities
