Responsibilities

• Account reconciliations and financial variance analysis.
• Coordinate and lead projects to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
• Review producer contracts to ensure proper revenue and cost accounting.
• Prepare monthly plant settlement and regulatory reports.
• Assist with inquiries from auditors and producers.

Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado, and the Powder River Basin in Northeast Wyoming. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Southwest Wyoming.

We’re engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, recycling, treating and disposing of produced water for our customers. In our capacity as a natural gas processor, we also buy and sell natural gas, NGLs, and condensate on our behalf and our customers under certain gas processing contracts.

Summary:

Western Midstream is looking to fill the position of a Midstream Senior Accountant. This role will primarily collaborate with producers, commercial development, operations and auditors regarding midstream producer allocations and settlements.

• At least 3 years of previous accounting experience.
• Experience in oil and gas industry is a requirement; midstream preferred.

• Record revenues, cost of product, and revenue recognition entries related to assigned assets.
• Prepare operational summaries (financials) which capture revenues, cost of product, volumes, pricing, operating expenses, and variance explanations.
• Account reconciliations.
• Performs financial variance analysis.
• Coordinate and lead projects. Recommends and implements efficiencies to streamline processes.
• Work closely with operations and commercial development to stay informed of physical flow changes and contract changes related to assigned assets.
• Review producer contracts to ensure all revenues and costs are being accounted for correctly.
• Prepare various monthly plant settlement reports and regulatory reports.
• Assist with internal and external customer inquiries, including auditors and producers.

Education:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration.

Work Schedule:

• This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
