Job summary

Western Midstream is looking for a Senior Air Quality Permitting and Compliance Representative to join the HSSE Team. Based in Longmont, CO, you will manage air quality permitting and compliance for produced water infrastructure across the Delaware Basin and adjacent areas.

The role requires deep knowledge of TX/NM and federal air quality rules, strong communication, and ability to collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Commercial teams in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance.
• Knowledge of midstream oil and gas operations and produced water solutions.
• Familiarity with TX/NM and federal air quality regulations.
• Broad HSSE knowledge applicable to oil and gas operations.
• Strong collaboration with Operations, Engineering and Commercial teams.

Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado, and the Powder River Basin in Northeast Wyoming. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Southwest Wyoming.

Job Summary

Western Midstream is looking for a Senior Air Quality Permitting and Compliance Representative to join the (WES) Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) Team. This position will be based out of Longmont, CO. The position will manage air quality permitting and compliance for our produced water infrastructure across the Delaware Basin.

Qualifications

• At least 8years of experience.
• Knowledgeand experience in themidstream oil and gas sector.
• Knowledge of applicable water solutions - produced water gathering, disposal, recycling, and beneficial reuse (including desalination and mineral extraction).
• Knowledgeand experience with Texas, New Mexico (including the Ozone Precursor Rule), and federal air quality permitting and compliance requirements.
• Broad knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental, procedures and regulations as they apply to oil and natural gas operations.
• Ability towork withtheOperations, Engineering, and Commercial teamsin developing and implementing permitting and compliance programs.
• Be motivated with the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Experience with BR&E ProMax and Toxchem simulation software preferred.
• Must communicate effectively with Operations and Engineering technical staff,legal counsel, and regulatory agency personnel.
• Proficient technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations teams to provide air quality compliance support.
• Develop compliance programs and conduct training.
• Assist in air permitting for new and existing facilities in Texas and New Mexico.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports for state and federal regulations.
• Develop and submit emission inventories for state and federal programs.
• Assist in the development and management of environmental data management systems.
• Ensure communication of HSSE expectations for projects and periodically assess against these expectations.
• Provide emission evaluations for Loss of Primary Containment events (LOPC).
• Assist with Management of Change (MOC) and Process Safety Start-up Reviews (PSSR).
• Assist and provide support with HSSE meetings.
• Participate in the WES Incident Management Team for Emergency Response.

Education

• A Bachelor’sDegreeis required,preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering, Science, or industry-related field.
• Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.

License / Certifications

• A validdriver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.

Travel Requirements

• The percentage of travel required for this position is10-20%.

Work Schedule

• This position follows a hybrid schedule working in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.

The pay range for this position in Colorado annually is $87,600 - $139,100; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, Western Midstream offers a competitive benefits package that emphasizes pay-for-performance compensation, work/life balance, premium health benefits, and a top-tier savings plan.
