By taking a three-tiered, holistic approach for evaluating security posture and ecosystems, GuidePoint enables top organizations, including Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies, to identify threats, optimize resources, and implement best-fit solutions to mitigate risk.

Role: Senior Account Executive

The ideal candidate will proactively network, cold call, and sell to multiple contacts within organizations, including C-level executives. They will manage and develop customer relationships, providing a consultative sales approach that delivers high-level account management services. The candidate should understand client goals, concerns, and the available technology solutions to meet their needs. This position is remote with regional travel required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Meet sales and profitability goals consistently.
  2. Position, configure, and quote product and service solutions.
  3. Participate in industry organizations such as ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, etc.
  4. Manage leads and opportunities using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  5. Report sales forecasts and opportunity funnels accurately and consistently.
  6. Create, edit, and close service proposals.
  7. Work with vendors to understand and position their technologies and value propositions.
  8. Participate in field marketing activities to generate interest and inform prospects.
  9. Represent GuidePoint to clients, articulating our areas of expertise.
  10. Set proper expectations and maintain open communication throughout the sales process.
  11. Leverage supporting resources effectively with teamwork and cooperation.
  12. Develop and deliver sales presentations to large groups and executives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of outside sales experience in IT, preferably in Information Security.
  • Experience in enterprise security space preferred.
  • Strong relationships with key accounts in the territory required.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com required.
  • Excellent group presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and generating leads.
  • Ability to lead and open new accounts.
  • Experience selling professional services, security audits, and assessments is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Security vendor certifications strongly preferred.
