Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. seeks an experienced SSIS and SQL Server Support Tech Lead to manage and optimize core database and data integration environments. You will lead a team of engineers, handle critical production incidents, and ensure high availability of MS SQL Server and SSIS infrastructure.

You will guide SSIS package design, performance tuning, and robust automation while collaborating with cross-functional teams on RCA and deployments. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 7 to 9 years of total IT experience, with at least 4+ years specializing in MS SQL Server administration/development and SSIS production support.
• Deep proficiency in T‑SQL programming, stored procedures, triggers, indexing strategies, and query performance tuning.
• Expert-level capability in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
• Hands-on experience with SSMS, SQL Server Agent, and performance monitoring tools.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of critical production issues related to SQL Server databases, jobs, and SSIS package failures.
• Monitor, review, and fine-tune SSIS packages to improve execution performance, error handling, and logging mechanisms.
• Analyze and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, indexes, and execution plans to reduce server load and latency.
• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level support engineers, conduct code/script reviews, and establish operational best practices.
• Implement proactive maintenance routines, index rebuilding strategies, database backups/restores, and automation scripts using PowerShell or SQL Agent.
• Coordinate with cross-functional development, infrastructure, and business stakeholder teams during root cause analysis (RCA) and deployment cycles
