Job summary

VIVA USA Inc seeks a SQL Server DBA to manage enterprise SQL Server environments across on‑prem and Azure. You will implement maintenance, tuning, backups, and security, while collaborating with IT teams on DBMS architecture and data governance.

Qualifications

5+ years managing enterprise SQL Server environments on‑premises and Azure.
Strong SSMS, T‑SQL, and database internals knowledge.
Experience with SSIS and ETL workflows.
Experience with Azure SQL DB, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
RBAC, security policies, HA/DR concepts, and data governance.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, patch, and upgrade SQL Server instances across environments.
Manage storage, system databases, and data file structures.
Monitor health, optimize indexes, and tune queries; fix blocking.
Design and implement backup/DR/HA (Always On, Log Shipping, clustering).
Collaborate with IT staff to design DBMS architecture and security standards.
Write automation scripts (T‑SQL, PowerShell) for maintenance tasks.
Provide Tier III support and guide development teams on schema Best practices.
