Job summary

Oorwin AI in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced SQL Server DBA to maintain and optimize enterprise databases across on-premises and Azure. Responsibilities include installation, patching, performance tuning, backups, HA/DR, and security compliance.

You will collaborate with IT leadership and development teams to enforce standards and ensure data integrity. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex issues for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise Microsoft SQL Server environments (on-premises and Azure).
• Deep expertise in SSMS and T-SQL.
• Experience with SSIS and ETL workflows.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Key Vault, and RBAC security.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade SQL Server instances across production, staging, and development environments.
• Monitor performance, tune queries and indexes, and resolve blocking or deadlock issues.
• Design, test, and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies including HA/DR.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to define DBMS architecture and data security models.
• Develop documentation for procedures, security policies, and migration processes.
