Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC in the United States seeks a seasoned SQL Server DBA with 4+ years of hands-on experience to manage SQL Server 2022 (or later) environments.

You will install, upgrade, monitor, and tune databases, ensuring security, backups, and disaster recovery readiness across on‑premises and cloud storage. You will work with AWS storage, implement high availability, maintain performance, run health checks, and document procedures to meet RPO and RTO targets.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
• Experience with SQL Server 2022 or newer versions.
• Experience configuring backups, restores and DR.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Agent and jobs.
• Experience with AWS storage and on‑prem storage.
• Strong T-SQL coding and ETL familiarity.
• Proficiency with monitoring and tuning SQL Server performance.
• Experience with high availability and failover strategies.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade SQL Servers, including service packs and updates.
• Perform routine database maintenance and monitoring of logs.
• Manage security, auditing, and user access.
• Design and test disaster recovery plans with RPO/RTO targets.
• Ensure backups are established and tested for point-in-time recovery.
• Configure and maintain SQL Server High Availability methods.
• Monitor error logs and event logs for database warnings/errors.
• Tuning queries and working with ETL processes.

• MINIMUM: 4 Years Experience SQL Server 2022 (or later versions) database administration


• Installing and upgrading SQL Servers, including applying service packs, cumulative updates


• Performing routine database maintenance


• Knowledge of SQL Server Agent and jobs


• Monitoring error logs and event logs for database errors and warnings


• SQL Server native tools and services


• SQL Server Profiler, Index Tuning Advisor


• SQL Server Configuration Manager


• Extended Events, Performance Monitor, Dynamic Management View


• SQL Server Broker Service, Linked Servers, MSDTC


• SQL Server System Databases knowledge


• SQL Server Health Checks and Policies


• Managing SQL Server security and auditing
